Bed & Breakfast in Sibton

Welcome to The Sibton White Horse Inn,Bed & Breakfast Sibton. The Sibton White Horse Inn in Suffolk is blessed with some of the best things England has to offer: An abundance of glorious countryside, beautiful sleepy villages with their pink, yellow and blue cottages, many historic buildings and some of the country’s finest coastline.

One such village is Sibton, in the heart of the Suffolk countryside yet five minutes from the A12 at Yoxford and only ten miles from the heritage coast. Here you will find the White Horse, a rather fascinating pub, built during the sixteenth century and still retaining all its original Tudor charm, it’s definitely one of those pubs that are a joy to discover.

Nowadays under the ownership of Neil and Gill Mason, locals and visitors alike can enjoy this genuine freehouse. Having received many accolades for its food and accommodation, the White Horse’s retained its relaxed and informal presence, drinkers therefore feel most welcome too.

The Sibton White Horse Inn was awarded ‘Suffolk’s Best Dining Pub’ in both 2008, 2009 and again in 2011. National recognition for its culinary excellence comes with an ‘AA Rosette’ and the ‘Good Pub Guides County Dining Pub of the Year 2012’. The inn also has six guest rooms located in an adjacent conversion, offering the comforts expected of a four star silver rated inn, acknowledged by both Visit Britain and AA. The White Horse also achieved ‘The Friendliest Place to Stay in the East of England’ in the Eviivo 2011 awards.

Beside the pub a converted building houses six well appointed rooms, self contained providing unrestricted access. Quietly situated with ample parking, most rooms have views of the green and the countryside beyond.

The rooms, four double, one twin and one single are all contemporary furnished with modern en suite facilities and offer the comforts expected of a four star silver rated inn. Rooms benefit from flat screen TVs with Freeview channels, wifi internet access and modern heating. Beds are of quality with feather down pillows and quilts clad with crisp white cotton. Fluffy towels, luxurious toiletries and a generous hospitality tray are also provided.

The pub’s delightful dining room is where breakfast is served, between 8.30 and 9.15am. A selection of fresh fruit, cereal and homemade preserves are complimented by a freshly cooked English breakfast, several fish dishes are available too.

In recognition of their culinary excellence, the White Horse was awarded an AA Rosette in January 2011 and retained it in 2012. When ‘The Good Pub Guide’ 2012 was published, they were named ‘County Dining pub of the Year’. The White Horse also possesses the highest possible Food Hygiene Rating of 5.

The food emphasis is very simple, take the finest and freshest local ingredients and create seasonal changing menus that represent the very best of British food. Free range meats and poultry from local farms, fresh fish from the North Sea and when in season game from the village shoot feature highly on the menus. Salads, herbs and vegetables come from the pub’s own garden; it doesn’t get fresher than that.
