Welcome to The Saddlery Cottage,Self Catering in Powys.The Saddlery Cottage is a brand-new conversion of a Victorian cottage within the grounds of Treberfydd House, a Victorian Gothic Country House estate in rural Wales. All the modern conveniences in a peaceful setting in the Brecon Beacon National Park, including your own garden, self contained parking , a wood-burning stove, and stunning views of the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops within a short drive as well as Llangorse Lake with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around location for the perfect family holiday. The cottage is cosy and warm, with excellent insulation and heating and hot water provided by a woodchip biomass boiler – perfect for autumn and winter breaks.
The cottage’s heating is from a wood-chip boiler using the latest eco-technology so cosy and snug year round. It has three comfortable bedrooms with king size beds – one en-suite downstairs and two upstairs sharing a large family bathroom. One bedroom offers the option of being split into twin beds, so ideal for children or teens. Please let us know if you would like this arrangement when you book.
The Barn at Treberfydd & Saddlery Cottage
If you are looking for an idyllic rural get-away, The Barn at Treberfydd and Saddlery Cottage are the perfect self-catering venues. The barn, which sleeps 8, offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Offering beautiful views of the Black Mountains and Llangorse Lake, the barn is the ideal location for cyclists, climbers, canoers, garden lovers and keen walkers.
Located in it own private courtyard, the barn is just a few hundred yards from Treberfydd House. Access to Treberfydd’s beautiful gardens and grounds for walks or picnics can be easily arranged.
Thanks to state-of-the-art geothermal heating, The Barn at Treberfydd is toasty warm in all seasons so perfect for autumn and winter bookings. It has four comfortable double bedrooms, two en-suite and two sharing a full bath and shower room, plus a woodburner and plenty of seasoned logs for your own fires. There is also a full laundry room with washer and dryer plus a spacious storage room for bikes or canoes.
Saddlery Cottage, which opened in April 2015, is located within Treberfydd’s grounds and sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 double rooms, one en-suite on the ground floor and two doubles upstairs sharing a spacious family bathroom with shower and tub. It also has wood-burner, vaulted kitchen and a family room with stunning news of the Black Mountains.
The two properties together are the perfect venue for larger family groups of up to 14.
