Welcome to Peach, Tranquility & Harmony, Self Catering in Pleasant Valley. Our three lodges, Peace, Tranquility & Harmony, nestle in the superbly maintained Heritage Park, looking out onto the stunning landscape and historical ruins that make this location so unique.
Peace
This beautifully appointed non-smoking lodge is designed to ensure maximum comfort in which to enjoy your holiday. Sleeping 6, there are 3 bedrooms; two doubles and one twin bedded, all fully furnished with wardrobes, the master bedroom having a flat screen TV, en-suite with shower plus a walk-in wardrobe with ample storage space. The master bedroom also has a small secure safe fitted for extra peace of mind. The family bathroom has bath/shower. A high chair and travel cot can be supplied on request (please bring your own baby bedding).
The spacious lounge and integral dining area are furnished with 2 comfortable settees and a chair, large screen TV, plus a modern dining table and chairs. The kitchen has all the comforts of home, with: fridge, freezer, washer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, slow-cooker, toasted sandwich maker, cafetiere, kettle and extensive work surface. There is a cloak cupboard containing an ironing board plus iron, hoover and fishing nets.
Ample decking area surrounding the lodge has outdoor garden furniture in which to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and view of the historic ruins of the Iron Works and colliery. There is also a boot box for outdoor storage.
Tranquility
This airy and spacious non-smoking lodge sleeps 6, with two double bedrooms and one twin bedded, all fitted out to a high standard and with ample wardrobe space. The master bedroom has an en-suite with shower, and the family bathroom has a bath/shower. The master bedroom has a flat screen TV and a small secure safe for extra peace of mind. All bedding and towels are provided, as is a welcome pack to start off your holiday. High chair and travel cot available on request (please bring your own.baby bedding) Please bring your own towels for use on the beach, as the towels we provide are for use in the lodge only.
The lounge and integral dining area provide a comfortable yet modern place in which to relax and enjoy your vacation, with a large screen TV, free view and DVD player provided. Whoever is lucky enough to be designated cook in the well-appointed kitchen (containing dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle) will enjoy being watched by those sitting on the bar stools at the breakfast bar!
Inside the large cupboard to the left of the front door is an ironing board, iron, airing rack, hoover and plenty of space for outdoor wear, plus fishing nets for enjoying rock pool dipping.
Larger than average decking area is ideal for al-fresco dining whilst surveying the ruins of the old Stepaside colliery and iron works, and you may well hear the peacocks calling from the woods above. Barbecues are allowed but must be on a stand and placed on the paved area adjacent to the steps, and there is parking for one car by the lodge with extra parking available close by within Heritage Park.
Situated just a short woodland walk from the picturesque beach of Wiseman’s Bridge where good food is served at the Inn, TRANQUILITY is ideally situated to explore all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. Investigate through the ‘hole-in-the-wall’ to Saundersfoot, or travel further afield to discover beautiful sandy beaches, the coastal path and other woodland and mountain walks. The Heritage Park is the ideal setting for quiet appreciation of the natural wonders and the finer things in life.
A dog is acceptable through prior agreement (again, please bring your own towels and bedding as lodge towels are not for animal use). All dog owners must clear up after their dogs, and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, as not to do this is in contravention of the site rules. Dogs must not be left alone in the lodge or allowed to go into the bedroom areas (a cage can be provided by prior arrangement.)
Harmony
This beautifully appointed non-smoking lodge is designed to ensure maximum comfort in which to enjoy your holiday. Sleeping 6, there are 3 bedrooms; two doubles and one twin bedded, all fully furnished with wardrobes, the master bedroom having a flat screen 32″ TV with built-in DVD, and an en-suite with shower. The family bathroom has bath/shower. A travel cot, high chair and bed rail are available for use at no extra cost (you would need to provide your own bedding for the cot)
The spacious lounge and integral dining area are furnished with 2 comfortable settees, 42” flat-screen HD TV and Blue ray player/DVD with a Sky package, plus a modern dining table and chairs. The kitchen has all the comforts of home, with fridge, freezer, washer, dishwasher, microwave, slow-cooker, toasted sandwich maker, toaster, cafetiere, kettle and extensive work surface with breakfast bar. There is cloak cupboard containing an ironing board plus iron, hoover and fishing nets. This lodge will also have WIFI available during the day.
Ample decking area surrounding the lodge has outdoor garden furniture in which to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and view of the historic ruins of the Iron Works and colliery. There is a lock-up metal container where bicycles can be kept (by prior arrangement).
HARMONY comes fully fitted with bedding and towels, and a hospitality pack with which to start your holiday off. Barbecues are allowed but must be on a stand and used on the concrete area, and there is parking for a car provided by the side of the lodge. Extra cars can be parked in the main car park.
Turning right out of Heritage Park takes you onto the old tramway path, which meanders down to Wiseman’s Bridge beach, following the course of the river and through beautiful woods. The beach is a treasure trove of rock pools and shells, and has the added benefit of the family friendly Wiseman’s Bridge Inn, which serves tasty and very reasonably priced food at lunch time and in the evenings.
