Hotels in Northumberland

Welcome to Langley Castle Hotel, Hotels in Northumberland. Langley Castle Hotel was built in 1350, during the reign of Edward III, the castle has retained its architectural integrity and is regarded as one of the few medieval fortified Castle Hotels in England. This hotel is situated in Hexham, Northumberland.

Set in its own ten acre woodland estate, the Castle’s 7 feet thick walls provide a peaceful and tranquil refuge in which to escape from today’s hustle and bustle to a bygone age, making it perfect for weddings or for a special break.

The guest rooms are individual and unique all with private facilities, many with four-poster beds and feature bathrooms.

Langley Castle provides a perfect venue for castle wedding receptions, private functions, exclusive use, exceptional dining or just a weekend getaway in Northumberland. The Castle hotel offers you an exclusive centre from which to explore Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland countryside and history.

The twenty seven guest rooms, all with private facilities, are luxuriously appointed. Many Castle bedrooms have private features such as a four-poster bed and a window seat set in the 7ft thick castle walls. Although the Castle itself was built in 1350, the sauna and spa bath in some rooms mean that your stay with us won’t be memorable for the privations of medieval times, but for the comfort of the 21st century without its pressures.

Castle View and the Castle View Lodge are conversions and extension of other listed buildings within the grounds, commanding magnificent views of the Castle itself.

Some rooms at this hotel accommodation are interconnecting or adjoining and many can be adapted for families. Two are disabled accessible.
