Patricia and Granville would like to welcome you to Kingford Housetheir small family run hotel, with 6 individually decorated guest rooms with disabled access to first floor rooms.Your hosts have proudly owned and run Kingford House for over 20 years, so are always on hand to give good local advice and suggest activities or days out.
Kingford House is set in its own grounds with ample parking, located at the base of Hollerday Hill, over-looking the bowling green and towards South Hill and onwards to the famous Valley of the Rocks.
Ideally situated in Lynton within the Exmoor National Park for a whole range of active or relaxing holidays or short breaks, with the Southwest Coastal Path running close by it is the perfect base for coastal or moorland walking.
Dining at Kingford House is a wonderful experience, Patricia prides herself on serving only home cooked, fresh locally sourced produce and can accommodate menu choices to suit everyone’s tastes.
All our rooms are individually tastefully decorated to a very high standard with your comfort in mind, we have a selection of doubles, twins and single rooms all of which have en-suite facilities. You will find our comfortable rooms are fully equipped with a complimentary beverage tray, flat screen digital TV with built-in Freeview and DVD capability television with freeview, hairdryer and a clock radio and a selection of toiletries.In the sunny well appointed residents lounge you will find a large selection of books, games and dvd’s to help you relax. You are welcome to invite family and friends to share in the enjoyment of Tricia’s famous Devonshire afternoon teas.
With such a wide choice of activities right on the door step there is something for everyone, from a gentle stroll into Lynton or Famous Valley of Rocks to a hike across Exmoor or along the South West Coast Path. The area is a haven for bird watchers and artists alike. With the Tarka trail a few miles away and cycle hire shops close what better way to spend the day.A little further away is the Doone Valley, Watersmeet House, Minehead and Woolacombe Beach.
