Hollingham House dates back to the eighteenth century and is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the village of Horsley just outside the vibrant market town of Nailsworth. Nestled in the Stroud valleys the surrounding countryside is quite spectacular and provides an excellent setting for a relaxing holiday break.
The accomodation in the main house includes a recently refurbished double room with private bathroom. It is furnished in a country cottage style and has a superior pocketed sprung double bed. A flat screen colour TV and hostess tray are provided. Free WiFi internet is available in the main house. A safe is also available for securing valuables.
At the top of the drive to the main house a small cottage nestles in the attractive wooded garden. A full English breakfast will be served in the dining room of the main house. The accommodation is accessed by an external staircase. The spacious double room is newly furnished with a kingsize bed. It has excellent decor and benefits from a modern ensuite shower room. There is a small lounge area equipped with two cottage style chairs, a digital flatscreen colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. The view from the dormer windows is over the neighbouring fields and the Horsley valley. The house sits in a tranquil elevated setting along a country lane, just over a mile outside the old market town of Nailsworth that provides an excellent selection of quality restaurants and independent traders.
Hollingham House is easily accessible for Badminton, Gatcombe and Westonbirt, with Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham being within a 40 minute drive. The area is blessed with miles of footpaths and interesting walks and is within easy reach of the Cotswold Way.
The dining room is situated in the oldest part of the property that has attractive oak beams and a large open fireplace that houses an original baking oven.
All rates are inclusive of a hearty English breakfast with produce locally sourced.
The garden is south facing and we invite you to relax and enjoy the wonderful views of the Horsley valley. Sheep and horses are often grazing just over the boundary walls and the rural setting is quite spectacular.
