At Hills Of Plumpton Driver Training we know modern fleet operators need suitably skilled drivers to protect the investment in their vehicles and perform a safe and efficient job.
We have been the leading industrial vehicle training provider in the south-east since we taught our first students way back in 1953. We are also the only training provider in Sussex that offers the full range of vehicle training, with everything from LGV and PCV to fork lift truck and crane mounted lorry courses, and provide the vehicles.
As a major training provider we operate our own full size outdoor DSA manoeuvring area, an indoor workshop for forklift truck operator training and classrooms just a stone’s throw from Plumpton racecourse. And with our fleet of training vehicles we are able to offer a comprehensive instruction package.
Hills of Plumpton was established in 1953 and we have taught thousands of operators how to drive safely for 60 years.
We have a team of driver trainers who primarily serve Sussex and Surrey. We carry out training at either our own training site at Plumpton Green or at the yards of our clients.
We have our own full size DSA manoeuvring area
We have 4 ½ Acres of land for the off road training of under 17 year olds
We can also train for individual manoeuvres such as: – reversing around cones, bay parking, parallel parking and turning in the road manoeuvres.
We generally train two operators in the same vehicle simultaneously. Experience has taught us this is the most effective way as drivers do learn from each other’s mistakes however we also train 1 to 1. Training days start at 8am and normally end at about 4pm.
We give free use of our classroom and IT systems are given for Theory and HPT, training for CAR, PCV, LGV and DCPC modules 2 and 4.(PLEASE NOTE: This applies to the clients who are training with Hills of Plumpton).
Any driver completing a car driving course will be given a good rate of discount when
returning to us for further driving courses.
Any driver who has completed a course with us and who has been presented with a HILLS Certification will be given a loyalty discount when returning for further driving courses.
We have fully qualified Digital Taco instructors who will train you at our site or train multiple trainees at your own site.
LGV instructors are trained in house with our fully qualified DSA Instructors.

All out trainees will be using the full defect system before setting off.
