Self Catering in Norfolk
Welcome to Grapevine Cottages, Self Catering in Norfolk. Grapevine Cottages are adjoining traditional brick and flint cottages set in the pretty village of Stanhoe (with a pub selling local ale and very good food) in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside. Drive up the little-used lane past the duck pond and you will find the cottages on the left hand side, with parking for two cars opposite. Each cottage sleeps up to 4 people (+ travel cot). Why not holiday with friends or family next door!
Vine Cottage has a 3-star rating from the English Tourist Council VisitBritain scheme and has now achieved the coveted Gold Award, while Grape Cottage, slightly more spacious, has gained a 4-star rating. Both holiday cottages have been completely refurbished in 2010.
Grape Cottage:
The cosy beamed sitting/dining room, with brick fireplace (for log fires in the winter) has freeview digital TV, DVD player and radio/CD player, two comfy sofas and dining table and chairs. A wooden latched door in the self catering accommodation leads into the well-equipped kitchen, with electric cooker, fridge-freezer and microwave, and the breakfast area has a double window opening onto the garden. Go through the rear lobby (with washing machine) to the bathroom and toilet, stairs and door to the garden. Upstairs is a spacious double bedroom and separate twin room (please note: beds are 2’6” wide). Both rooms have exposed beams and lovely views over farmland countryside. Outside, there is a gravelled area with table and chairs, two sun loungers and a small barbecue for those long, summer evenings. Beyond is an enclosed lawn area, with trellis fence and gate to the natural part of the garden where dogs can be exercised.

Bend your head as you pass through the little door into the well-equipped kitchen, with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and dining area. Go on through the lobby, with door to the garden, to the bathroom and toilet. Upstairs in the self catering cottage is a large vaulted double bedroom and, leading off through a latched door, is a twin bedded room with sloping ceilings. Both bedrooms have lovely views over the adjacent farmland. Outside in the garden, there is a table and chairs, two sun loungers and a small barbecue for those long summer evenings. Beyond the trellis fence and gate is the natural part of the garden where dogs can be exercised.
North Norfolk is renowned for its wonderful beaches (nearest about 15 minutes drive) and tranquil countryside, offering walking, cycling, birdwatching and other outdoor activities. There are numerous places of historical interest from stately homes to village churches and many family attractions. There is also theatre and cinema in the nearby towns and local concerts, markets and fetes.
