Within a short driving distance are the quaint villages of Hartland, Clovelly, Appledore and Instow and the historic market town of Bideford. Whereas, for the serious shopper, there is the Atlantic Village outlet shopping centre. Local activities include surfing, golf, horse riding and cycling the Tarka Trail or walking the North Devon Coastal path.
