If you want to learn to ride a bike or need more confidence and skills to cycle safely on the road, CycleSkills can help. We are based in Surrey and cycle lessons are held in Reigate and Redhill. We have also trained
cyclists from South London and Sussex. Our cycling instruction is for all levels, from beginner cyclists to the more advanced. We can also run training courses at your school to improve childrens cycling proficiency.

The National Standards
Our training is to National Cycling Standards (also called Bikeability).
The National Standard for Cycle Training is a three tier training scheme devised to teach you how to cycle safely and confidently on the road with respect for other road users. It has three levels:
Level 1 Conducted in a controlled environment away from roads and traffic, providing basic cycle control skills including, starting, stopping, manoeuvring, signalling and using gears.
Level 2 On-road training for those who have completed Level 1 and are ready to progress; it gives real cycling experience and makes trainees feel safer and capable of dealing with traffic on short commuting journeys or when cycling to school. Training is mainly in small groups or one-to-one over a number of sessions.
Level 3 Develops the basic skills and trains riders to make journeys in a variety of traffic conditions competently, confidently and consistently. Cyclists reaching the Level 3 standard will be able to deal with all types of road conditions and more complex situations.
You are assessed informally throughout the course, so there’s no test.
