Welcome to Capplebarrow Coach House, Self Catering in Kendal. The Capplebarrow Coach House, situated in the Lake District National Park, was built of natural stone in 1863 and converted to a holiday cottage in the 1960s. Much of the original character still remains, the exposed beams being a main feature. Our lovely holiday cottage is located in Longsleddale near Kendal in Cumbria.
The Coach House can accommodate 2 people and is arranged over two levels. The first floor rooms have excellent views of the surrounding fields, fells, woodland and farmland. Throughout this attractive little cottage there are a number of pictures, ornaments and decorative plates that help to create a relaxed and homely atmosphere.
The accommodation comprises: one double bedroom, lounge with dining area, log burner and sofa that converts into full sized double bed, shower room, and fully fitted kitchen.
Super king sized bed which can be converted into twin beds on request.
A baby’s cot, high chair and stair gate are available on request.
Pets are welcome, subject to prior agreement.
Electric blankets are fitted to the beds.
The nearest shops, public house and petrol station are 7 miles away in Kendal. Milk is not delivered.
There is a telephone box 200 yards from the cottage but the number at the main house (01539 823 686) may be used as a contact number in case of emergency.
The cottage is on a filtered, private spring water supply.
Situated in the beautiful Longsleddale valley, the self-catering accommodation is ideally situated for touring, climbing, walking, pursuing a hobby or interest or just relaxing. The valley has changed little in several hundred years with farming the main occupation. The river Sprint runs the length of the valley and there are splendid views of the surrounding hills and countryside. The cottage is along side the main house but is completely self-contained and has its own car-port and patio. Visitors are welcome to use the garden and barbecue facilities.
