Self Catering in Cornwall

Welcome to Cadgwith Cove Cottages, Self Catering in Cornwall. Taking a trip to the most Southerly peninsula in Cornwall, Cornwall Living discovers the secrets of a sleepy village nestled amidst a sheltered cove, holding on to it’s sense of community & true spirit of the sea.We are a small, local, friendly cottage letting agency offering around 50 holiday homes in this beautiful part of Cornwall. Do come to see and enjoy all that the wonderful Lizard Peninsula has to offer. Just settle down to decide which cottage will suit you best.

Cadgwith Cove Cottages is located in Cadgwith, a tiny fishing village almost forgotten by the 21st Century, located on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula. Fishermen still push their boats down the beach to catch shellfish & wet fish that, weather permitting, are available every day.

This area of Cornwall has some of the most spectacular scenery & for the summer visitor arriving on a sunny day Cadgwith seems everything that a Cornish fishing village should be. Whitewashed cottages, mostly thatched are scattered on both slopes of the valley & fishing boats are laid up on the beach.

But this is only a small part of the real charm of Cadgwith. This is a real working village that holds on to a way of life almost completely forgotten elsewhere. Fishing boats still go out every day, as they have done for hundreds of years, not for pilchards nowadays but for crab, lobster, mackerel, shark & mullet.
Cadgwith Cove Inn remains the social centre of the village & is regularly the venue for celebrations of all kinds featuring folk music every Tuesday night & traditional Cornish singing on Fridays.

If you are looking for a holiday of old fashioned simplicity, surrounded by scenery of breathtaking beauty, then take a look at the portfolio of properties that Cadgwith Cove Cottages offer.

So, why not plan a visit, forget the modern world & share life as it was shared 500 years ago. Relax a while with a cream tea in The Cellars, peek at the amazing examples of arts & crafts at Gilly’s Crow’s Nest Gallery & then enjoy a drink or two on the courtyard outside the pub.

There’s an art of living here that has largely vanished from almost anywhere else but, beware, one visit & you will want to return time & time again.
