Welcome to Waxway Farm Holiday Cottages,Self Catering in Devon.Waxway Farm Holiday Cottages has two holiday cottages to offer, Swallows and Bats, offer people a comfortable base from which they have the opportunity for as quiet or as busy a time as they wish, to relax and get away from the pressures of modern life, or to have an active holiday with all that Devon has to offer.
Bats Cottage:
Bats Cottage sleeps up to four people and is a cosy yet spacious cottage for smaller families and couples. With its downstairs bedroom and bathroom, it provides suitable accommodation for those for whom stairs may be a problem.
Bats cottage provides an ideal base for relaxing and exploring the great Devon countryside.
Bats Cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one, on the ground floor, with two single beds. The double room is heated with an electric radiator and the twin with a storage heater. The downstairs bathroom has a full size bath with shower attachment, whilst there is a basin and toilet attached to the double room.
The full height kitchen/dining room offers a spacious feel with plenty of room, coming complete with modern electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and drier.
The lounge is warm and cosy, with a log burner, TV, DVD and CD player.
A cot, high chair and stairgate are available on request for our younger visitors.
Swallows Cottage:
Swallows Cottage sleeps up to six people and is the ideal base for holidaying without losing the comforts and space that a large group needs to enjoy that holiday. Perfect for larger families, it nonetheless retains the cosy feel that couples and smaller groups desire when relaxing in the countryside.
Swallows has three bedrooms, one King, one with double bed and one with two single beds. Each of the bedrooms is heated with electric radiators.
The bathroom has a full size bath with fitted shower and is spacious enough for the most demanding family after a day out on the beach.
Swallows has spacious rooms downstairs with a separate dining room, Shaker style fully fitted kitchen and lounge with TV, DVD and log burning stove. A WC with washbasin is next to the entrance hall.
The cottage also benefits from an enclosed private courtyard with vined pergola, garden furniture and barbeque, perfect for those relaxing summer evenings.
The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and halogen hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble-dryer, dishwasher and microwave. A cot, high chair and stairgate are available on request for our younger visitors
Waxway nestles below the beautiful East Hill woodland with its panoramic views over the lush Devon countryside towards Dartmoor. We are just two miles from the historic town of Ottery St Mary and less than four miles from the World Heritage coast at Sidmouth. Exeter, Dartmoor and Exmoor are easily reachable by car.
