Welcome to Trereife House,Bed & Breakfast Cornwall.Trereife House, a beautiful centuries old family owned Estate, steeped in history, is being lovingly restored by the 7th generation family and is now open to the public throughout the year for bed and breakfast and in the summer months for day visitors.
Trereife’s Stableyard cafe opens from April – October, Sunday – Friday, 10:30 – 5, serving a delicious menu devised and delivered by Sarah Shaw from The Cornish Hen Deli in Penzance. Whether you are in a mood for a locally sourced Cornish Crab or Smoked Pilchard Salad, or just fancy a quick coffee on the way back from the beach, Trereife is tranquil and relaxing. For some, the recent filming of Summer In February at Trereife will be of specific interest and we are always keen to talk about our experiences of the filming.
The house and grounds offer an unforgettable setting for almost any occasion, warmly hosted by the Le Grice family, Tim, Liz, Georgie and Pete and their faithful hound Duke.
The predominantly Queen Anne Manor House, which in parts dates back to the reign of Elizabeth 1, and the formal gardens, are set in rolling grounds, in the stunning countryside just outside Penzance, South West Cornwall.
The location affords easy access to the beaches and the many other holiday attractions Cornwall provides. We are a convenient stop off before a trip to The Isles Of Scilly or an evening at The Minack Theatre. As well as a quiet retreat in the country, we have easy access to the main trunk roads and railway connections and Newquay airport is also within easy striking distance.
We offer self catering holidays on the estate, and bed and breakfast in our Queen Anne Manor and converted courtyard block. We regularly host country fairs, concerts, functions and other events and provide a unique setting and facilities for unforgettable weddings and other important occasions.
The Estate also boasts home produce, a well known horse breeding stable and many other country family holiday pursuits suitable for all ages, as well as a treasure trove of history to explore.
We give guests the unique opportunity to stay in one of our newly renovated rooms in one of Cornwall’s finest Country Houses. Our position, close to both the North and South Coast is a natural base for those looking to explore the treasures Cornwall, and more specifically, Penwith have to offer.
We have four beautiful large bedrooms inside the house and two appartments in our courtyard cottages, each with modern en-suite. The bedrooms have been entirely updated to complement the already exquisite reception rooms. The two rooms in the east wing are on the ground floor and have an alternative access at the back of the house as well as allowing guest to sit out in courtyard.
We are a convenient location for trips to St. Ives, Land’s End and Sennen beach. We are 10 minutes from the Isles of Scilly ferry which makes us a convenient stop over destination. We allow people to park their cars at Trereife for the week while away in the Scilly’s at no extra charge.
