Part of a large estate and family home to the Shakerleys for generations, this fabulous Wolsey Lodge has been lovingly renovated, keeping original features and character. It is elegantly furnished with family portraits, antique furniture and Persian rugs while guests appreciate all the comforts of contemporary living. Enjoy a drink from the honesty bar or relax on sofas in the drawing room in front of the fire.
The generously proportioned bedrooms have great views and are individually furnished, some with toile de jouy wallpaper, others with antique Japanese furniture. Each room has a DVD player and ideally located on the landing, a DVD library – typical of the hosts’ care and attention to their B&B guests.
Superb breakfasts, including a ‘full English’ with local farm produce and homemade preserves, are served in the elegant dining room.
