Self Catering in South Uist
Welcome to Seann Taigh, Self Catering in South Uist. Seann Taigh is a restored thatched cottage that now provides self catering accommodation in the southern part of the Western Isles in the South Uist area of Lochboisdale. The self catering cottage has wonderful views and are close to many unspoilt beaches.
The holiday cottage accommodation comprises an open plan kitchen/living and toilet/shower room. The lounge includes a dining table, TV and DVD player. The lounge also has a double sofa bed. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, cooker and fridge and has plenty of cupboard space. There are two bedrooms which consist of a master double and the second bedroom is in the loft space and has one single bed.
The peaceful location of the self catering cottage is a great place for fishing, walking, bird watching and cycling. In the summer months there is plenty to do including a week long festival called ceolas which celebrates music, dancing and all different instruments. There is also South Uist Highland games which includes a variety of things such as dancing and piping. There are many lochs around which have lots of types of fish and there is also a golf course at Askernish.
