Record Electrical Associates Limited was formed in September 2003 to bring together Record Electrical, Townson + Mercer and Whiteleggs. Based at our factory in Stretford, Manchester we market and manufacture quality products, With unquestionable reliability to our accredited BS EN ISO 9001 : 2000 system.

The three divisions combine over three hundred years trading history to the Petrochemical, Marine, Power Generation, Laboratory Environments, Process Plants and Railways.

Record Electrical began trading in 1911 with brand names “RECORD” and “CIRSCALE” becoming well known throughout the world for quality electrical instrumentation.

Townson + Mercer has been trading for over two hundred years offering and supportingTemperature Controlled Baths, Ovens, Ultra Sonic Baths and Furnaces for use within the Laboratory and Process markets.

Whitelegg’s has been serving local industries for over thirty years with quality sheet metal Fabrications of all descriptions.

Record Electrical:

Formed in 1911, Record Electrical has become a specialist supplier of Analogue Moving Coil and Moving Iron indicators with the “RECORD” and “CIRSCALE” trademark’s known worldwide as a symbol of quality and accuracy.

All our indicators are manufactured and calibrated in our Stretford factory to a quality system certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000. Some special indicators have been certified for use in hazardous area applications holding ATEX certification for both intrinsically safe and Type nl areas suitable for field mounting, having IP66 rating, and panel mounting with IP54 rating.

State of the art technology is used in our latest instruments for innovative solutions to difficult applications, one example is the Speedometers being supplied to the new breed of trains indicates not only the actual speed of the train but also sends a duplicate signal to the “On Train Monitor”.
