Welcome to Portsonachan Hotel & Apartments, Self Catering in Argyll offers pet friendly bed and breakfast accommodation situated within the grounds of Portsonachan Hotel they offer accommodation on both self catering and a bed and breakfast basis. Located in Portsonachan near Dalmally, Argyll, on the shores of the magnificent Loch Awe there is plenty for you to experience here from fishing holidays, golf vacations, sailing on the Loch or simply discovering the West Highlands.
We have plenty of pet friendly accommodation for you to choose from. Immediately adjacent to the hotel building itself, are situated 10 Loch Side Apartments. Available on a bed and breakfast or self catering basis, these individual duplex suites come fully furnished with a double bedroom, en suite bathroom, Villeroy and Boch wet room, fully fitted kitchen, lounge and private patio overlooking the loch.
Opposite the hotel you can find the original Coach House building. Part of the original buildings at Portsonachan this has now been converted into a series of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Again these are available on a bed and breakfast or a self catering basis; the facilities in the apartments include kitchen/kitchenette, lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms.
The 2 bedroom apartments can sleep up to 5 people and are ideal for families. All these apartments have hardwood floors, leather furniture and are pet friendly.
Situated in the grounds of Portsonachan Hotel are a series of 9 self catering traditional log cabins which can accommodate up to 6 people. Perfect for family holidays, fishing weekends and romantic getaways, these 1, 2 and 3 bedroomed cabins offer the ideal escape in the most tranquil of settings. The large 3 bedroom log cabins come equipped with barbecue and sauna in built, whilst the 2 bedroomed cabins come with a sauna.
When staying at Portsonachan Hotel, there is no need to pay for an expensive Permit, we allow our guests to fish for free.
The 27 mile long fresh water loch is home to a wide assortment of fish. You can catch Char, Salmon, Pike, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout.
6 miles from the hotel is a stunning Forest Drive. Taking you from One Valley over the top of the nearby hills, and down in to Loch Awe. The views from the top are breath taking.
