The stone shippon has been carefully converted to provide two well appointed holiday cottages.
Curlew Cottage is graded 4 stars with Visit Britain Quality Assurance and is part of the two storey stone barn conversion which has created two cosy cottages.
The accommodation consists of a lounge with integral dining area, fitted pine kitchen, open stairway leading to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds. There is a shower room with electric shower, toilet and wash basin.
Services include, oil fired central heating, double glazing, colour T.V. with free view channels and D.V.D. player, radio with C.D. and tape player, micro wave, electric cooker and refrigerator.
The adjoining utility room includes a washing machine, tumble drier and deep freeze. Here there is also extra space for outdoor clothing.
The garden has garden furniture and has beautiful views down the valley across the rolling fields.
Lower Pethills Farm is situated 5 miles from Macclesfield and 10 miles from Buxton and makes an ideal base for a wide range of countryside activities including: walking on quiet but well established paths, hill walking in the nearby Peak District, rock climbing, cycling (on or off road ), golf and fishing.
Many visitors come to see the multitude of Country Houses, Halls, Gardens and Parks in Cheshire and Derbyshire.
Macclesfield has a wealth of history based around its industrial heritage; The Silk Museum and the West Park Museum are well worth a visit.
Buxton offers a variety of cultural activities with its Opera House, Roman Baths, Micrarium and well preserved 18th and 19th Century buildings.
