Welcome to Bythynnod Bryncaled, Self Catering Gwynedd. Bythynnod Bryncaled Cottages are 3 brand new, stunning barn conversions that are set in the town of Bala and have fantastic views of the Welsh mountains. Our holiday cottages are ideal if you are planning a big family get together or if you are taking a week away from it all with your friends. Each of our self catering cottages has its own hot tub so you can sit back and relax in style.

The 3 cottages that we have available at Bythynnod Bryn Caled are called Y Beudy, Tyddyn Lliw and Carreg Y Nant. They are a perfect choice for those requiring both quality and luxury but in rural surroundings.

Y Beudy is a converted, traditional Welsh 18th century stone built long barn. The holiday barn is fabulous for families and a stunning romantic getaway for couples. There are three bedrooms in total that have separate access to a shared en-suite bathroom. The open plan living area and dining area makes Y Beudy a great place to entertain. The French doors at the end of the sitting area open up to a decked area with hot tub and wonderful mountain views.

Tyddyn Lliw has a wash room and a large open plan kitchen and living area on the first floor. The holiday cottage is fully equipped and from the living room are the patio doors that open onto a small veranda with breath taking views over the horse paddock to the Aran Mountain. The two bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin are on the ground floor with a “Jack and Jill” style en-suite with a shower over bath, WC and wash basin. The private hot tub is located outside under the trees in the garden and there is also a BBQ.

Carreg Y Nant has a very relaxing living area that has 2 sets of patio doors opening to the private garden. The private hot tub is located in the garden overlooking the fields and the old oak trees and there is a small unfenced brook running through the garden. Carreg Y Nant has 2 rooms to choose from. An en -suite double bedroom and an en-suite twin bedroom. Each bathroom has a shower, WC and a basin with large Velux windows, which make the bathrooms very light and fresh.

Homemade meals are available at your cottage – menus available on request.

Bythynnod Bryn Caled Cottages are located in a stunning location overlooking the picturesque village of Llanuwchllyn and the Aran Mountains. Llanuwchllyn is a mile away and a lovely walk along the public footpath along the river Lliw. In the village is the Eagles Inn where you can have excellent homemade food and a cold beer. They also provide a traditional Welsh Sunday lunch which is a treat not to be missed. As this area is a walker’s paradise you may wish to go for a long leisurely walks along the public footpaths from the village or even hop on the little steam train from the village to the town of Bala.
