Welcome to Best Western Lansdowne Hotel, Hotels in East Sussex. Best Western Lansdowne Hotel occupies a premier position on the uncommercialised seafront overlooking the Western Lawns and Wish Tower with splendid views of Beachy Head and the sea.

The hotel offers 102 well furnished bedrooms of which we have 7 double and 2 single bedded superior rooms, all south facing. All superior rooms are provided with bottled water and upgraded toiletries. We also have a number of family rooms available.

All rooms are en-suite have tea-making facilities, plenty of drawer and hanging space, hairdryer and modem points.

We also have 22 private lock-up garages at a small nominal fee. Please note that our garages have a height clearance of 6ft2, they are 15ft7 in length and 7ft4 in width. (these are approx. measurements)

Dogs are not allowed in the public rooms and owners are held responsible for any damage they may cause. The Charge is £7.00 per dog, per day (no food supplied).

Please note that children are accommodated free of charge if using existing bedding. Please note that not all rooms can accommodate a Z bed and must be confirmed by the hotel. Children under 5 years old are free of charge for breakfast.

Ideal for morning coffees, afternoon teas, pre lunch/dinner drinks are the hotel bar/lounges. We also offer a wide range of snacks and bar meals served throughout the day to enjoy in quiet and elegant surroundings.

In the Devonshire restaurant you can enjoy a traditional English Cuisine Menu every day of the week for £22.95 (4 course Table D’Hote) or try our Lansdowne A La Carte Menu within elegant surroundings, superb views of the Channel and excellent service.

Firle Room is located within the Devonshire Restaurant, this is an exclusive dining suite ideal for smaller parties. It can hold up to 30 people and still enjoy the magnificent views and great service.

The Lawns restaurant has been Recently refurbished and boasting magnificent views over the Western Lawns and the Channel. Ideal for Conferences, Weddings or private lunches up to a maximum of 60 diners.

Located in the lower ground floor, the Jevington Room can be transformed into a Games Room on request. Pool and Table Tennis, plus Snooker -two tables, one of them full size.

Eastbourne is a great destination whether you’re visiting on business or pleasure. We have an unspoilt elegant 3 mile promenade running directly opposite the hotel, walk one way and you’ll reach Holywell with its quaint tea chalet at the foot of Beachy Head and the other way takes you up to the pier and top of Terminus Road where you’ll find bars and restaurants. If you’re up for a bigger walk carry on upto the Sovereign Harbour where you’ll find shops and restaurants and the cineworld. The town centre is just a leisurely stroll away and boasts a selection of high street stores with all the big names within the Arndale Centre.

You will be sure to find plenty to do and if you like golf Willingdon Golf Club and Eastbourne Downs Golf Club is just a short drive from the hotel so don’t forget your golf clubs! If you like watersports then Spray Watersports Centre is only a short distance away and if you’re into tenpin bowling then Lloyd Lanes is close by too.
