Welcome to Ben View Hotel, Hotels in Argyll. The Ben View is a non-smoking family-run hotel with nine en-suite rooms just 2km. west of the tranquil, scenic village of Strontian. We pride ourselves on our warm welcome and our friendly staff.
All rooms are either twin- or double-bedded and en-suite, offering either a bath or a shower.
Tea and coffee-making facilities and hairdryers are provided in all rooms.
After relaxing with a pre-dinner drink, savour a meal from our à la carte menu, which changes daily. As all our food is cooked to order, we can cater for vegan and allergy diets if informed in advance.
We rely on fresh local produce which is then cooked to perfection by our Chefs. We are continually improving and changing our menus with the times.
We pride ourselves on our wine list, hand-picked by ourselves and supplied by Forth Wines, one of Scotland’s leading wine distributors. We boast a selection of 34 bins on our main list, and we cater for all tastes with a choice of old and new world wines. Most hotels only offer one or two house wines but we fully appreciate the need to cater for different tastes, which is why we offer a range of seven house wines. Our house reds vary from light to full-bodied, our whites from dry to medium dry.
Our breathtaking backdrop is the 2700 feet high Corbett of Ben Resipole. The hotel has superb views to Ben Garbhein, Loch Sunart and the Morvern Hills. Our garden once formed part of the old Caledonian Forest. Golden eagles soar high above and buzzards, sparrowhawks, pine martens and red deer are commonly seen. If you’re lucky you may even spot the elusive Scottish wildcat.
Whether you want to climb, walk, cycle, bird-watch or drive around the area, the Ben View Hotel is the ideal base for taking in the local history and culture.
