Welcome to Beehive Cottage, Self Catering in Gloucestershire. Beehave Cottage offers self catering accommodation situated in Harpury, Gloucester in Gloucestershire. This detached 17th Century Cottage, restored in 1999, offers a cosy, comfortable retreat for two in an idyllic rural location. Situated just five miles from the historic city of Gloucester, Beehive Cottage provides a superb centre for touring Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, The Forest of Dean and the Wye and Severn Valleys.
The beamed interior of Beehive Cottage is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Accommodation comprises porch, kitchen dining room, bathroom with shower and large bed sitting room.
The kitchen / dining room is tastefully appointed in pine and forest green. Appliances available at this self catering accommodation include double oven cooker, microwave, refrigerator and convector heater. Washing machine and tumble dryer are available on request. Stereo music centre, plus books, games and jigsaws provide ample indoor entertainment.
The spacious bed sitting room offers flat screen TV with intergral DVD player, which can be viewed either from the comfort of armchairs or from the twin beds (which can be placed together). A hairdryer is provided.
The Cottage has off-road parking and a sunny south facing garden with guests’ own patio and garden furniture.
Hartpury village has three public houses and a post office / newsagent / dairy /shop, but we are only five miles from the City of Gloucester and Tesco or Sainsburys Supermarkets. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, we have many country walks from our own doorstep, which makes this an ideal spot for dog owners. This entire area is steeped in history and offers a multitude of attractions to satisfy every interest.
This self catering accommodation is ideally situated for exploring the Cotswolds, the Royal Forest of Dean, the Malvern Hills and the Severn Vale.
The towns of Cheltenham, Ledbury, Stroud, Malvern, Ross-on-Wye and Tewkesbury are within easy driving distance, with Hereford, Worcester, Monmouth, Bath, Bristol and Stratford-upon-Avon a little further afield.

The first time we visited Beehive Cottage was in 2006 for Terry’s 60th Birthday celebrations. We have returned several times in the intervening six years – it is like coming home. It gives us a chance to relax after visiting relatives and friends, or after shopping till we have dropped. Lovely to see Dorothy and Bodie again. We will undoubtedly be back.

This is our first stop in the UK after doing an 18 day tour in Europe, and what a good choice it has been. Our lovely hostess, Dorothy (and her little dog) made us very welcome and helped with recommendations of places to visit in the immediate area and beyond. We loved everything about our week at the Beehive.
